TDAQ
The NA62 integrated Trigger and Data Acquisition system is based on a unified handling of the data completely in the digital domain to allow maximum offline control.
The trigger is based on a single hardware level (L0) based on CHOD, MUV and LKR and complemented by RICH and LAV, reducing the rate to 1 MHz in 1 ms latency. At this rate data is readout to local PCs where software L1 trigger is performed, and then to a switched PC farm where event building and L2 triggering occurs.
A key points in the design is a high control capability of the live status of the system.
